Yesterday was work/laundry/clean day in our household, so we were in sweats, so in lieu of showing you what My Petites were wearing, I thought I would share my needs and my potential splurges for Fall. This list is comprised of things I need for my petites or that I want (but don't need) for them, but might HAVE to HAVE. Enjoy!
BOTTOMS:
The Essential bottoms are all jeans...I am a jean fanatic for myself and my girls. The BEST pants I have ever found for my petites are the Gap Denim Legging Jeans (or jeggings). The fit my very petite H, and also my not so petite I. A MUST HAVE. Second are the Skinny Boot cut jeans. They are skinny through the thigh, with the perfect amount of flair at the bottom. Perfect to wear with a blouse, a belt and some super cute shoes (see below :)). And the last definite essential - some good black stretch pants. My petites live in these all year, and my favs are below.
Now for what I want, but do not need if I am being honest. This pair of pants is so military chic and fashion forward, and would look so cute on My Petite H with her winter cape you will see later. And staying with the military theme, I need the matching skirt as well! And if you like a little bling, rather than just boring black leggings, read on for some extra sparkle. And who doesn't love high-end denim, even for petites - the price is a bit much, but we are talking wants here. My daughter was given the True Religion skirt below as a gift...and it is simply amazing. LOVE.

TOPS
The essential tops start with the mini capsleeve tee, they go with everything and are the perfect layering tee. Along with the tee, you need the mini camisole, again, go with everything and perfect for layering. And as far as I am concerned, my go to cardigan.

Oh yea, and the high end version of one of my needs to be exact. The cost might be high, but sometimes fashion is worth it even for the petites.

I love love love this category. Fall is my favorite season. I love skinny jeans and boots, and I love topping off each outfit with a perfect coat and hat. My needs include both in basic colors that will go with everything, which is generally a goal when picking out a staple item.

DRESSES
Last but not least, dresses. Dresses can be tricky in the fall, but paired with the perfect leggings (
above), they are very doable. And for dressier occasions, pair with some patterened tights and you are good to go.
